Oregon Tech Women’s Golf Named Team of the Week

LA GRANDE, Ore. –The Oregon Tech women's golf team has been named the "Team of the Week" for April 23-29 the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced.
 
Competing at the renowned Pronghorn Golf Resort in Bend, Oregon on the Nicholas course, the Lady Owls secured the regular season championship, as well as, the CCC tournament championship. The tourney title earned the squad the leagues automatic qualification to the NAIA Women's Golf Championships to be held in May.
 
Stephanie Koza and Janelle Ferlan each shot 159 over the two day event with Koza defeating Ferlan on the first hole of a playoff for medalist honors. Kylie Collum carded a 177 to finish in fifth place while Darby Twight shot a 181 to tie for seventh. As a team Tech shot a combined 673 which was 33 strokes clear of runner-up Corban. Holly Froelich shot a 184 to finish in 10th place.
 
Oregon Tech will next be in action May 22-25 at the NAIA Championships. The tournament will be held at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Florida.
