KLCAS Postal Substation Closed

KLCAS Postal Substation Closed

The postal substation co-located and operated with Klamath & Lake Community Action Services on Clairmont Drive near the OIT campus, closed today February 8, 2018.

The postal substation was opened in 2014 as a workforce training site, a potential revenue source to support the Klamath & Lake Community Action Services and as a service to the community.  In the face of declining revenue, however, the KLCAS board elected to close the site.

During the last week of January, Klamath and Lake Community Action Services (KLCAS) coordinated several homeless Winter Give-A-Way/Point-in-Time count events.  This year, the Winter Give-Away/Point-in-Time count events enabled KLCAS to both serve, and gather data on 286 homeless individuals, as well as 247 individuals currently in-need throughout Klamath and Lake Counties.

Klamath Falls Man Awarded a Subaru

Tonight Klamath Falls Subaru held a Client Appreciation Night in partnership with the Subaru Share the Love Event. Tonights event is a way for Klamath Falls Subaru to say thank you to their customers. 

During the event, Owners, Blake, Bill and Mary Underriner gave away a 2005 Subaru Impreza to Jacob King, a veteran and single dad of four young daughters. Several local organizations nominated many deserving people. However, King’s story and his four girls stood out among the rest.
