KCSO: Missing Kayaker on Klamath Lake [UPDATED]

UPDATE: On Friday, May 29, 2020, at approximately 3:00 PM The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Dive Rescue Division located the body of Roger Combs, age 52, in Klamath Lake. Combs had been reported missing on the evening of May 25, 2020, after he is believed to have overturned in kayak launched from the Modoc Point area near Chiloquin.

DOJ Review Complete Regarding Officer-Involved-Shooting

On October 5, 2018, law enforcement stopped a vehicle being driven by Mr. Phillip Moskios Jr. on Hwy 97 near Modoc Point Rd.  The traffic stop was made in conjunction with an ongoing drug investigation by the Basin Interagency Narcotics Team (BINET) with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration.  Mr. Moskios had recently been released from the Oregon State Department of Corrections after serving over 16 years, was a convicted felon with prior weapon and drug offenses, and had been released to state and federal supervision.

Officer Involved Shooting, Modoc Point

On 10/05/18 just before 8:00am, an Officer Involved Shooting occurred in the Modoc Point area just off of US 97.

No officers were seriously injured and one male subject is deceased. Officers on scene are searching for a female who ran from the incident described as a white female adult in gray sweatpants.
