Last Friday, Klamath County 9-1-1 received a call reporting Darrell Blackwell, 80, was stuck in the snow on an ATV near Saddle Mountain Pit Road in the Chiloquin area. Deputies responded but was limited due to the snow depth. Klamath County Search & Rescue (SAR) was then called in to assist in locating and rescuing Blackwell.

On Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:45 pm, a citizen called 911 and reported an unknown male stole a package from the front porch of his residence located on Hope Street. The thief was described as wearing a dark jacket, dark pants and a stocking cap or beanie. He was last seen running towards Hope Street and getting into the passenger side of a dark colored SUV. It is believed that the thieves were following a delivery truck and stealing the packages when the driver left.

With an estimated cash loss of $8,000 in cash and property damage and $12,000 total in theft, including items such as power tools, laptop computers, chain saw, cameras, vehicles, and much more. With the arrest of the culprits, REACH has managed to recover a few of the items from the theft. As the authorities, continue to look for missing items.
