ODFW Fish Restoration Board to Meet In Klamath Falls

ODFW’s Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board will meet on Friday, May 18 in Klamath Falls. The agenda also includes discussion of development of board priorities and funding strategies, as well as planning for the 2019 program reauthorization. The meeting is open to the public, and there will be an opportunity for public comment. After the meeting, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the board will tour several facilities related to the reintroduction of anadromous runs to the upper Klamath.

Tour to Explore Algoma Lumber Company Sites

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Historic sites connected with the Algoma Lumber Co. in Klamath County will be explored in a tour being offered Saturday, May 5.

“The highlights of this tour will be the sawmill site north of Klamath Falls, the incline railroad location on Naylox Mountain, and the old trestle on the back side of the mountain,” said Klamath County Museum manager Todd Kepple.
