Three die in vehicle crash on Highway 140

The following is a press release from the Oregon State Police

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. - On Thursday, January 21, 2021, at approximately 8:05 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 140W near milepost 43 [approximately between Varney Creek Road and Mountain Lakes Drive].

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by KC Brock (36) of Central Point, was eastbound attempting to pass a truck and trailer, in a no-passing zone, and struck a westbound Dodge Dakota operated by Charles Lundy (53) of Klamath Falls.

Brock sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Kevin Morris (27) of Central Point, the passenger in Hyundai Santa Fe, was transported by air ambulance to the hospital with injuries.

Lundy and his passenger, Betty Bishop (59) of Medford, both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased.
