CRATER LAKE, OREGON – The fire danger level within Crater Lake National Park has dropped from extreme to high due to recent moisture and predicted cooler temperatures. Effective October 1 at 12:01 AM, Crater Lake National Park rescinded the fire restrictions implemented on June 30, 2021, and the fire ban implemented on July 17, 2021.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - A deadline of September 20, 2021, has been set for the fall order of memorial bricks. The memorial bricks are ordered to represent and are dedicated to military veterans and will be placed in the Veterans Memorial located in Veterans Park. KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Klamath and Lake Community Action Services (KLCAS) has been provided an unprecedented amount of funding, about $4.7 million, through the Consolidated Appropriation Act to prevent eligible renters who have been impacted by the pandemic from eviction for non-payment of rent.
This year, school supplies will be provided to all elementary students in the Klamath County School District. Supplies will be purchased by the district and distributed to students by their teachers at the beginning of the school year. Schools will let families know if there are any additional personal items students might need.
