RX Fire Info

The primary objective is to safely reduce hazardous fuel loadings and break-up continuity of surface fuels which will decrease the potential for stand replacing wildfires.  Prescribed burns will also introduce fire back into the landscape in such a manner that it creates a mosaic of burned and unburned fuel which will increase forage heterogeneity for wildlife.

Smoke from treatment locations may be visible for 10-15 days after the start of the burn.
