RX Burns planned at Crater Lake
/CRATER LAKE, Ore. – Prescribed fire season has arrived at Crater Lake National Park and the park will be applying prescribed fire to the landscape in preparation for the upcoming fire season.

Read MoreCHILOQUIN, Ore. – Thursday night was another good night on the Meadow Fire with zero growth. The fire is 5 miles outside of Chiloquin, Oregon burning away from the community to the northeast. Total acreage is now set at 832 acres (up from 815 last night) due to slightly better mapping.

The unit is located along both sides of West Highway 62. Approximately 44 acres containing roughly 2200 piles are in the areas scheduled to be burned this fall. These piles are from the construction of fuel breaks along Highway 62.
