The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office responded to Chiloquin, Oregon late last night to investigate a reckless driving complaint. A later call reported a fight had taken place when the driver of the recklessly driven vehicle was confronted by witnesses who saw the vehicle almost strike a young boy and his family.

The suspect vehicle was stopped by deputies who found it occupied by many intoxicated and uncooperative individuals who were then joined by others from a nearby residence. Amidst active threats and racial slurs being made against the deputies by the group, the below individuals were arrested and transported away from the area to de-escalate the deteriorating situation. The two were lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the listed charges.

There has been a widely supported effort in the Chiloquin area to heal the community following several acts of violence in the past year. The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office applauds this effort … but these two individuals aren’t helping.
