CRATER LAKE, Ore. - Crater Lake National Park’s North Entrance Road and Rim Drive are closed for the season as of October 24. Snow over the weekend and snow forecasted for later this week have led to an early closure. The park will attempt to keep West Rim Drive open to Discovery Point until the hard closure date of November 1st, but it will be closed sooner if conditions warrant.

Read MoreCHILOQUIN, Ore. - This afternoon at approximately 2:30 PM, a 30-acre brush fire was reported in the neighborhood south of South Chiloquin Road, including Blue Pool Way & Witam Bluff Drive. The intensity of the fire prompted the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office to issue Level 3 “Go” Evacuations for the area. An evacuation shelter was established at Kla-Mo-Ya Casino. One family was displaced by the fire.
