It may only be the second week of the 2019 high school football season, but the Skyline is proving early that it is the conference to beat in the OSAA 4A. Three of the top five teams in the 4A are from the Skyline – North Valley #1, Henley #2, and Mazama #5. Phoenix and Klamath Union hold #14 and #16 respectively.

Mr. Pelican charity volleyball game set for Friday

Come one, come all to the annual Mr. Pelican Volleyball Tournament and help raise money for those in need.

The games start at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Pel Court, 1300 Monclaire St. Klamath Union High School’s Mr. Pelican Pageant contestants will face off against volleyball teams from Kingsley Field, the Klamath Falls City Police Department and Henley High School.

Mazama Wrestling Wins Districts, 18 Local Athletes Qualify for State

Three local wrestlers proved to have what it takes to be district champion.

Kyler Pemberton of Mazama became champion winning the 106 lb weight class defeating Gabe Chaves of Hidden Valley 11-3.

Klamath Union’s Isaiah Franco came out on top of the 126 lb weight class by defeating Asa Marwick of Hidden Valley 9-0.

In the 285 lb weight class, Mikey Sierra of Henley had his hand held high after defeating Christopher Woods of Hidden Valley by pinfall, in 1 minute 33 seconds.
