KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On January 4, 2022 the Honorable Judge Alycia Kersey sentenced Harland Wright to the Oregon Department of Corrections for 550-months. The sentence was based on Wright’s role in a series of kidnappings and assaults in which Wright and another co-defendant terrorized and tortured several different victims, in several different episodes, over a three-month period.

At approximately 1:23 AM, during the early hours of Friday April 12, 49-year-old Mike Fowler of Klamath Falls crashed his vehicle on Lakeshore Drive. Klamath County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched and upon arrival found that Fowler’s vehicle had rolled over and sustained extensive damage. His passenger, 58-year-old Dale Faust of Klamath Falls, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officer Involved Shooting Leaves One Dead

On Saturday morning (12/29/18) at 3:56am, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of an assault in progress at a residence northeast of Beatty, Oregon. When officer’s arrived, the adult son of the assault victim retreated into a nearby building and refused to cooperate with the investigation. Deputies were able to contact a mental health crisis counselor who responded to the residence.
