Early Wednesday morning, Klamath County Sheriff Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle near Shasta Way and Gary St. The Deputies observing numerous traffic violations deputies initiated pursuit which continued through the neighborhood. Deputies had planned to terminate pursuit for public safety reasons however the vehicle Adams was driving began to smoke and stopped.

Seven Missions for SAR in the last 48 hours, not unusual says Bryson

Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers from Southern Oregon have responded to seven separate missions over the last 48 hours.

First, a male hiker from California requested medical aid for a suspected heart attack while hiking on Mt. McLoughlin August 14. Klamath and Jackson Counties SAR worked together and dispatched Brin Aviation to transport the hiker to a hospital in Medford. The gentleman is reportedly doing fine today.

According to Klamath County Sheriff, Chris Kaber - At approximately 8:03 pm on Wednesday evening (August 14th, 2019) an inmate being held in the Klamath County Jail attempted suicide while alone in a booking cell. The 53 year old man was being held on local misdemeanor charges related to Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, and Criminal Trespass.

Chi was driving a vehicle near the intersection of Crater Lake Parkway and South Sixth Street at about 6:00 PM when Sheriff’s deputies witnessed him making a turn and lane changes without using his signals.

On the morning of Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 7:59 am, Klamath County 9-1-1 was notified that a home invasion robbery had just occurred on Vincent Drive in Klamath Falls.

The victim told 9-1-1 he had just been robbed minutes earlier, at gunpoint, by two unknown men who had displayed a handgun after knocking on his front door.

Thomas Lee Kenworthy, Jr. of the Klamath Falls area, age 43, was arrested Monday afternoon, June 3, after attempting to elude Sheriff’s deputies. Just before noon Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop an SUV driven by Kenworthy on Crater Lake Parkway after it made an illegal U-turn. The SUV fled onto Shasta Way, where it collided with another vehicle.

Shooting in Crescent leads to murder charge

On May 9, 2019 at 2:33 a.m., Emergency Dispatch received a call from Rex Ronald Jones, 59, indicating he had shot Russell Sherman Gilbert and that Gilbert didn’t appear to be breathing.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police responded, and the deputies and troopers found the victim deceased. The homicide occurred on property on Cox Road in Crescent, Oregon.
