Two men arrested following a home invasion robbery

On the morning of Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 7:59 am, Klamath County 9-1-1 was notified that a home invasion robbery had just occurred on Vincent Drive in Klamath Falls.

The victim told 9-1-1 he had just been robbed minutes earlier, at gunpoint, by two unknown men who had displayed a handgun after knocking on his front door.

Mail Thieves Arrested with Help from Resident’s GPS

Because of mail thefts that had occurred in the area, a Keno resident decided to install a GPS tracking device in a decoy package, and then left the package in a mailbox to see what would happen.

On Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at about 11:00 pm, the resident contacted Klamath 911 and advised dispatchers that the GPS-armed decoy package had been taken and was transmitting its whereabouts as it traveled towards Klamath Falls. Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was subsequently confirmed to be in possession of the stolen package.

Sheriff Asks for Community Help in Eternal Hills Grave Robbing

On 05/24/18, the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a burglary, theft, and criminal mischief at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens on Hwy 39, Klamath Falls, OR.  Deputies responded to a call from a victim who found an area of the cemetery had been entered and damage inflicted upon “12” different memorial urns and their containment spaces. Items of value were taken and the some of the niches were desecrated.
